She's got silver teeth which shimmer and shine when she chastises me She's got a dress that drags, when she dances, she wipes the floor clean I've got a rock that frowns, a crack from the frost that took my wildflowers And when we're done playing our game of two generals It'll be another round of hide-n-go-seek And so I'll be sittin in the tallest of trees Singin oh my, oh my goodness She's been givin the fancy nods to the hardest working man around this town She's got the words that provoke, she'll turn a high-seated poet into a head-hangin king But I've still got the loyal band, we've been swingin ever since the first beat

If you ever decide to come find me Something I openly admit I do not believe Fill your rucksack with some reasonable notions Like the dreams you've been having about the swelling oceans And tie your shoes the same way that I do Double knotted and ending with two loops But remember that the deer do not play in the blackberry brambles Point your compass straight towards the place you call home Turn your body completely around Let your footsteps hallow the fallen leaves Music by which all wild creatures must sleep And if any other sound comes instead Stop to make sure that you are not dead Just remember that the deer do not play in the blackberry brambles

Crazy world, when did you get so small Seems like yesterday the trees were so tall Restless mind, when did you get so hungry Seems like yesterday I was a humble man My fair lady, why do you look so sad Seems like yesterday what you needed you did have Crazy world, when did you get so small Seems like yesterday the trees were so tall And the trees were so tall

Creek Bed 02:57
The creek bed that winds through the virgin wood lies just beyond this mountain ridge When you hear three shots from my gun, it means that I have found the one We will learn to be untamed, we will dance to the flicker of the flame We will pray, oh we will pray that the congressman don't take this one away And isn't it funny how the things that you love can just float away
5.
Wyld Woman 03:42
Wild wild woman, hair painted red Wrapped up in a blanket and praying with your hands You're crying and it's cold, you're crying and it's cold Broken on a narrow city road Wild wild woman, who can you trust The world is full of men and their hearts are full of rust They're crying and it's cold, they're crying and it's cold Mothers waiting for them to come home Wild wild woman, running coast to coast From a past that haunts you and the friends that mean you most Cause when you're crying and it's cold, when you're crying and it's cold With open arms we'll be waiting at your home
